Irene was born in Fayette County, Iowa.1   Irene's father was Edwin Craig Abbott and her mother was Mary Ann Wright. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Osceola Charles, Cyrus, Eldridge Lemual, James Arza, John Wright, Mack M., Rena Electa and Phelina.  She died in Infancy, Fayette County, Iowa.1
