On 14 June 1759 Rev. William Douglas conducted the marriage of
Ann Randolph of Goochland County and John Pleasants of Cumberland
County. Although the marriage bond called her Anne Scott, Douglas
called her Ann Randolph, a peculiar portrayal for a woman previously
married. John was a son of John Pleasants and Margaret Jordan.
