John Slaughter 
John was born in 1845. John's father was William Harvey Slaughter and his mother was Jane B Orr. His maternal grandparents were Hugh Orr and Mary Finley. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Hugh A, Thomas A, Martha and Maria. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
