Ann was born in 1732 in Dungeness,Albemarle Co., VA. Ann's father was Isham Randolph and her mother was Jane Lilburne Rogers. Her paternal grandparents were William Randolph and Mary Royall Isham; her maternal grandparents were Charles Rodgers and Jane Lilburn. She had four brothers and six sisters, named William, Thomas Isham, Grief, Isham, Anne, Jane Isham, Mary, Elizabeth, Dorothea and Susanna.General Notes

On 14 June 1759 Rev. William Douglas conducted the marriage of
Ann Randolph of Goochland County and John Pleasants of Cumberland
County. Although the marriage bond called her Anne Scott, Douglas
called her Ann Randolph, a peculiar portrayal for a woman previously
married. John was a son of John Pleasants and Margaret Jordan.
