Margaret was born in 1814 in Person, North Carolina, USA.1   Margaret's father was William Ramsey and her mother was Nancy Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Ramsey and Frances Townsend. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Hensley, Archibald Bauldy, Edmund, David, Woodson Q, Daniel, Thomas T and Frances.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.  She died in Webster, Kentucky, USA.1
