Edmand S. was born in 1862 in Kentucky.1 Edmand S.'s father was James H Ramsey and his mother was Mary Ramsey. His paternal grandparents were Hensley Ramsey and Anna Pettypool; his maternal grandparents were Redmond Gregory Glascock and Sarah S P Pool. He had four brothers and four sisters, named W R, John Ezra, Thomas R., Jesse F., E A, Sarah A., Martha J. and Susan F.. He was the third oldest of the nine children.-
