Margaret was born about 1751 in Stafford Co., VA. Margaret's father was William Powell and her mother was Eleanor Peyton. Her paternal grandparents were William Jr POWELL and Elizabeth "Eliza" LANE; her maternal grandparents were Valentine Peyton and Francis Linton. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Levin, John Thomas, William L, John Peyton, Frances, Sarah and Elizabeth.-
