Sarah was born in 1872. Sarah's father was John Pollock and her mother was Mary Jane Boyd. Her paternal grandparents were John (Fiddler) Pollock and Martha Ross; her maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Boyd and Sarah Boyd. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Solomon, William, Eliza, Martha Jane, Anna Maria and Mary Agnes. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died in .-
