Timothy was born in 1746. Timothy's father was Henry Peyton and his mother was Ann Thornton. His paternal grandparents were Valentine Peyton and Francis Linton. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Valentine and Mary. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John, Thomas, Frances and Elizabeth.-
