James H was born on August 4th, 1824 in Nicholas Co., KY.1 James H's father was John Orr and his mother was Nancy Steerman Orr. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Orr and Margaret Peggy Ramsey. He had two brothers named Bevil G and Oscar F. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 59 on March 15th, 1884 in Cooper Co., MO. He was buried on March 15th, 1884 in Mt.
