Maria Monroe 
Maria was born in 1803 in Paris, France.1 Maria's father was President James Monroe and her mother was Elizabeth Kortright Monroe. Her paternal grandparents were Spence Monroe and Elizabeth Jones; her maternal grandfather was Lawrence Kortright. She had a brother and a sister, named James Spence and Eliza Kortright. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 47 in 1850 in Oak Hill, Loudin, VA, USA.1 -
