Bio of
Lee C. Jackson was married December 14, 1871, to Elizabeth Cooper, who was born January 10, 1853, in Johnson County, Missouri. She died in 1895. In 1869 Lee C. Jackson came to Missouri and made settlement in Johnson County. Later in the fall of that same year he was joined by his mother, sisters and brother-in-laws and all settled on a farm in Johnson County, Missouri, and began the task of making homes for themselves and families. Mr. Jackson followed farm and stock raising pursuits in Johnson County until his retirement to a home in Windsor. He is owner of 184 acres of good land in Johnson County. In 1881 he located in Pettis County, Missouri, and resided there until 1903, when he again came to Johnson County. During his residence in Pettis County his wife died. To Lee C. and Elizabeth Jackson were born children as follow: George H., subject of this sketch; John W., Decatur, Illinois; Anna Bell, wife of S. Truell, Independence, Kansas; Mrs. Dora L. Kerr, Pettis County, Missouri; Beatrice, wife of William Kline, living near Linwood, Kansas; Frank, a farmer in Johnson County, Missouri.
