George W was born on April 28th, 1828 in Middle TN.1 He died at the age of 40 on February 19th, 1869 in KY.1 General Notes
George W. Jackson was born in middle Tennessee April 28, 1828, and died February 19, 1869. He was a saddle and harness maker by trade and his father fought in the War of 1812 at New Orleans, serving under General Jackson as a lieutenant of his company. In 1850 George W. Jackson moved from his native State to Kentucky, where he lived the rest of his days. His wife was a native of Christian County, Kentucky, and departed this life at Fort Worth, Texas, while visiting with her sister, Mrs. Jane Clark, her remains being interred at Smithfield, Texas.
