Matthew Boyd 
Matthew was born on June 13th, 1844 in Gore, Ouebec, Canada.1 Matthew's father was Joseph Boyd and his mother was Jane Hammond. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Boyd and Sarah Boyd; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Hammond and Ann Jane Madill. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Nathaniel, Joseph, Henry, James, Elizabeth, Sarah Ann, Mary Jane, Isabella and Margaret. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 70 on January 8th, 1915.General Notes
