John William (Wesley) Boyd 
John William (Wesley) was born on March 24th, 1843. John William (Wesley)'s father was Stewart Boyd and his mother was Margaret Hammond. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Boyd and Sarah Boyd; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Hammond and Ann Jane Madill. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James Stewart, William Stewart, Sarah and Mary. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died in .General Notes
John was a Miller. When he was 21 he went to California and was there engaged in lumbering for five years. After his returen, he and his borther bought the old mills know as the McKenzie Mills at St. Canute. They sold it in 1886 for $14000.00 after that John was connected with the lumber firm of Owens,Lane & Boyd
