Rosa was born in 1841.1 Rosa's father was Roger Barton and her mother was Eudora Barry. Her maternal grandparents were Daniel Barry and Rosanna Toland. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Hugh Grozier, Vance, Roger, Barton, Mary Ellen, Elizabeth and Louise.-
