Bishop Dirk Count was born about 1147 in Of 'S-Gravenhage, Z-Holl., Netherlands.1 Bishop Dirk Count's father was Dirk VI Count von Holland and his mother was Sofie Countess von Rheineck. His paternal grandparents were Floris II " The Fat " Count von Holland and Petronille Prinzessin von Oberlothringen; his maternal grandparents were Otto Count von Rheineck and Gertrud Countess von Northeim. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Floris III Count, Otto Count, Bishop Boudewijn Count, Robbrecht Count, Dirk Or, Sophia Countess, Hedwig Countess, Geertruid Countess and Petronella Countess. He died on August 28th, 1197.1 -
