Philipp von Hessen-Butzbach 
Philipp was born in 1581. Philipp's father was Georg l von Hessen-Darmstadt and his mother was Magdalene zur Lippe. His paternal grandparents were Philip l von Hessen-Kassel and Christine von Sachsen. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Philipp Wilhelm, Ludwig V, Friedrich l, Johann, Christine, Elisabeth, Marie Hedwig, Anna and Magdalene. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named Heinrich. He died at the age of 62 in 1643.
