Matilda Prinzessin was born in 1156 in London, Middlesex, England.1   Matilda Prinzessin's father was Henry II Plantagenet Koenig von England and her mother was Eleanore Prinzessin von Aquitanien.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V von Plantagenet and Matilda (Maud]) von England; her maternal grandparents were William X Duke von Aquitanien and Eleanor von Rochefoucauld. She had twenty-three brothers and four sisters, named Wilhelm, William Prinz, William, Henry " Der Junge Koenig " Koenig, Henry, Henry Prinz, Richard I "Loewenherz" Koenig, Geoffrey, Geoffrey, Geoffrey Duke, Geoffrey Prinz, Philip Prince, John, John "Lackland"  Koenig, John, William, Henry Duke, William Prinz, Geoffrey Prinz, Philip Prinz, Philip, Geoffrey Archbishop, William Earl, Matilda, Eleanor Plantagenet Prinzessin, Joanna Plantagenet Koenigin and Joanna Princess. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William, William, William Longspee Earl, Marie Prinzessin, Alix Prinzessin and Margaret.  She died at the age of 33 on June 28th, 1189 in Brunswick, Germany.2
