1   Philip's father was Henry II Plantagenet Koenig von England and his mother was Eleanore Prinzessin von Aquitanien.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V von Plantagenet and Matilda (Maud]) von England; his maternal grandparents were William X Duke von Aquitanien and Eleanor von Rochefoucauld. He had twenty-two brothers and five sisters, named Wilhelm, William Prinz, William, Henry " Der Junge Koenig " Koenig, Henry, Henry Prinz, Richard I "Loewenherz" Koenig, Geoffrey, Geoffrey, Geoffrey Duke, Geoffrey Prinz, Philip Prince, John, John "Lackland"  Koenig, John, William, Henry Duke, William Prinz, Geoffrey Prinz, Philip Prinz, Geoffrey Archbishop, William Earl, Matilda Prinzessin, Matilda, Eleanor Plantagenet Prinzessin, Joanna Plantagenet Koenigin and Joanna Princess. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William, William, William Longspee Earl, Marie Prinzessin, Alix Prinzessin and Margaret.1
