Martin Luther was born on May 28th, 1836 in Aurelius, Cayuga, NY.1 Martin Luther's father was Luther Van Giesen and his mother was Melinda Slayton. His maternal grandparents were Phineas Slayton and Experience Gleeson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Montgomery, James, Catherine C. and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the five children.1 -
