James A. Orvis

James A. was born on March 7th, 1873.¹   James A.'s father was John Ransom Orvis and his mother was Chaney Maranda Sweet. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Harris W., Willis J., Wilbur R., George B., Burt D., Clara R., Laura E., Ida May, Lillie B. and Cinda E..  He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.¹
