Peter Gottfried was born on June 11th, 1803 in Linderhausen, Westfalen, Preussen.1 Peter Gottfried's father was Peter Caspar Kotting and his mother was Maria Catharina Flasdieck. His paternal grandparents were Hans Peter Arnold Kotting and Anna Christina Karweg; his maternal grandparents were Peter Caspar Flasdieck and Maria Catharina Flockenhaus. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Heinrich Peter, Johannes Caspar, Johannes Peter, Peter David, Peter Caspar, Anna Catherina, Maria Elisabeth and Catharina Wilhelmina.1 -
