Benjamin Herndon 
Benjamin was born in 1765.1 Benjamin's father was Edward Herndon and his mother was Mary Ann Gaines. His paternal grandparents were William Herndon and Ann Drysdale. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William, Edward J., John, George, Joel, Henry, Elizabeth, Rachel, Mary and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the eleven children.1 -
