Catherine was born about 1426 in Of, Fen Ditton, Cambridgeshire, England.1 Catherine's father was Lawrence Cheney and her mother was Elizabeth Cokayne. Her paternal grandparents were William Cheney and Catherine Pabenham; her maternal grandparents were John Cokayne and Edith (Ida) De Grey. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Mary. She was the youngest of the four children.1 -
