Lawrence was born in 1396 in Of, Fen Ditton, Cambridgeshire, England.1   Lawrence's father was William Cheney and his mother was Catherine Pabenham. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Anna.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 65 on December 30th, 1461.1
