William Leighton Brown

William Leighton was born on April 23rd, 1866 in Bio Community, Hart County, Georgia, USA.¹ William Leighton's father was John Andrew Brown and his mother was Lucinda Matilda Frances Jones. His paternal grandparents were James Early Brown and Nancy E. McCurry; his maternal grandparents were William A. Jones and Lucy Ann Brown. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James Alexander Washington, Asa Chandler, George A., Mack Lester, Stanley J., Lucy Ann, Nancy Lee and Flora Della. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 29 on August 20th, 1895 in Lexington, Oglethorpe County, Georgia, USA.¹
