David Back

David was born on February 15th, 1843.¹ David's father was John Back and his mother was Sarah Caudill. His paternal grandparents were Henry Back and Susannah Maggard; his maternal grandparents were William C. Caudill and Nancy Craft. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Henry J., William, Moses M., James S., John Wesley, Bemjamin D, Isom Marion, Susannah, Nancy and Rebecca. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 21 on December 6th, 1864 in Camp Douglas, IL.¹
