Lauren Hotchkiss was born on May 21st, 1815 in Spafford, Onondaga, New York. Lauren Hotchkiss' father was Shadrack Roundy and his mother was Betsey Quimby. His maternal grandparents were Moses Quimby and Hannah Kennedy. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Lorenzo Wesley, Jared Curtis, William Felshaw, Julia Rebecca, Laurette, Samantha, Almeda Sophia, Nancy Jane and Malinda. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 84 on March 11th, 1900 in Knightsville, Juab, Utah. He was buried in March 1900 in Springville, Utah, Utah.-
