Matilda Maud was born on February 7th, 1102 in London, Middlesex, England.  Matilda Maud's father was Henry Beauclerc and her mother was Matilda Atheling.  Her paternal grandparents were William and Matilda De Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm Caenmor and Margaret Aethling. She had a sister named Constance.  She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Robert, Elizabeth and Constance.  She died at the age of 65 on September 10th, 1167 in Notre Dame, Paris, Seine, France.  She was buried in Bec Abbey, Le Bec-Hellouin, Eure, France.
