Isabel was born on October 9th, 1200 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Isabel's father was William Marshal and her mother was Isabel De Strigoil De Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were John FitzGilbert le Marshal and Sibilla S. Deveraux; her maternal grandparents were Richard Strongbow De Clare and Eve MacMurrough. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Earl of, Richard, Earl of, Walter, Anselm, Maud (Matilda), Sibyl, Eve and Joane.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 39 on December 17th, 1239 in in childbed at Hereford, Herefordshire, England.  She was buried in Beaulieu Abey.


Isabel's first family with Gilbert De Clare

‌Isabel and Gilbert were married in a religious ceremony on October 9th, 1217.  They had three sons and three daughters, named Richard, William, Gilbert, Amice, Isabel and Agnes.


Isabel's second family with Richard of England

‌Isabel and Richard of were married in a religious ceremony on March 30th, 1231.  They had a son and three daughters, named Henry of, Child, Child and Child.
