Hildegarde was born about 0804 in Maine, Normandy, France. Hildegarde's father was Ludovico Pio and her mother was Ermengarde de Hesbaye. Her paternal grandparents were Carolus Magnus and Hildegarde of Savoy; her maternal grandparents were Ingram and Hedwig De Bavaria. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Gerard, Arnulf, Pepin, Louis the, Lothar I of, Ludwig II, Aupais of, Dhouda, Rotrude, Adelaide and Beatrice. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Charles I of, Gisele and Adelheid. She died in 0941 in at age 139 (!?).General Notes
