Zerilda was born in September 1846 in Oblong, Crawford, IL. Zerilda's father is Ezekiel York and her mother was Elizabeth Easton. Her paternal grandfather was Ezekiel+ York and her paternal grandmother is Nm+ X. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Jesse, John, Mary, Jane, Lucinda, America and Elizabeth.
