Luitpold Von was born on March 12th, 1821 in Wurzburg, Germany. Luitpold Von's father was Ludwig Von Wittelsbach and his mother was Theresa Von Sachsen-Altenburg. His maternal grandparents were Friedrich Von Sachsen-Altenburg and Charlotte Von Mecklenburg-Strelitz. He had two brothers named Maximilian II Joseph Von and Adalbert Von. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 91 on December 12th, 1912.-
