Anne was born about 1551 in Stanwell, Middlesex, England. Anne's father was William Windsor and her mother was Margaret Sambourne. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Windsor and Elizabeth Blount; her maternal grandparents were William Sambourne and Anne Copley. She had a brother named Edward.
