Samuel was born on June 5th, 1586 in Ratcliffe, Devonshire, England. Samuel's father was John Du+ Vassal and his mother was Anne+ Russell. His paternal grandparents are Jean Du+ Vassal and Nm+ X; his maternal grandparents were Francis+ Russell and Margaret+ Saint John. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, William+, Judith and Ann Du. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 81 in 1667 in New England.-
