Marie De was born about 1449.  Marie De's father was Louis XI De Valois and her mother was Marguerite De Sassenage.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles VII De Valois and Marie D' Anjou; her maternal grandfather was Henry II De Sassenage and her maternal grandmother is Antonia Di Saluzzo. She had two sisters named Jeanne De and Isabeau De.  She is the second oldest of the three children. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Louis De, Joaquim De, Charles VIII De, Francois De, Louise De, Anne De Beaujeu De and Jeanne De.
