Her paternal grandparents were Charles VII De Valois and Marie D' Anjou; her maternal grandfather was Henry II De Sassenage and her maternal grandmother is Antonia Di Saluzzo. She had two sisters named Jeanne De and Marie De. She is the youngest of the three children.
