Uriah was born on August 17th, 1767 in Little Compton, Newport Co., RI. Uriah's father was Micah Tompkins and his mother was Sarah Dring. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Tompkins and Sarah Coe. He was an only child. He died at the age of 81 on November 15th, 1848 in Little Compton, Newport Co., RI.General Notes
