Rhys+ Thomas 
Rhys+ was born about 1508 in Aber, Caernarvonshire, Wales and his baptism took place in Elstn Gldrdd. Rhys+'s father was William+ Thomas and his mother is Jane+ Herbert. His paternal grandparents are Thomas Ap+ Rhydderch and Mawd Lloyd; his maternal grandparents are William+ Herbert and Jane+ Griffith. He had four brothers and six sisters, named James, Thomas, Henry, Bartholomew, Elsbeth, Catrin, Dorothy, Mary, Mawd and Winifred. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
