Alathea was born in 1586. Alathea's father was Gilbert Talbot and her mother is Mary Cavendish. Her paternal grandparents were George Talbot and Gertrude Manners; her maternal grandfather was William Cavendish and her maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Hardwick. She had a sister named Mary. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 68 in 1654.General Notes
