John was born about 1420. John's father was John Stewart and his mother is Elizabeth Lennox. His paternal grandfather was Alexander Stewart and his paternal grandmother is Janet Turnbull. He had a brother named Alan. He was the younger of the two children. He died in 1482.General Notes
