Alan+ was born about 1290 in Dreghorn, Cunningham, Ayrshire, Scotland. Alan+'s father was John+ Stewart and his mother is Margaret+ Bonkyl. His paternal grandfather was Alexander+ Stewart and his paternal grandmother is Jean De+ Bute. He had three brothers and a sister, named Walter, Alexander+, James+ and Isobel+. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had a half-sister named Margaret+. He died on July 19th, 1333 in Darnley, Renfrew, Scotland.General Notes
