Arran+ was born about 1160 in Isle of Man. Arran+'s father was Sumarlidhi+ Lisle and his mother is Ragnhild+ Olafsdotter. His paternal grandfather was Gillebride+ Lisle; his maternal grandfather was Olaf I Bitling+ Isle Of Man and his maternal grandmother is Ingelbiorg Of+ Orkney. He had three brothers named Rognvald+, Dubhgall De+ and Angus De+. He is the youngest of the four children.General Notes
