Mary was born in 1538 in Lathom House, Ormskirk, Lancashire, England. Mary's father was Edward+ Stanley and her mother was Dorothy+ Howard. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas+ Stanley and Anne+ Hastings; her maternal grandparents were Thomas+ Howard and Agnes+ Tilney. She had a brother and two sisters, named Henry, Jane+ and Elizabeth. She died at the age of 71 on September 3rd, 1609 in Morton, Gloucestershire, England.
