Mary `Polly` was born on January 15th, 1791. Mary `Polly`'s father was Edmund Shackelford and her mother was Judith Eastin. Her maternal grandparents were Phillip Eastin and Elizabeth Douglas. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Philip Eastin, Edmund Jr., John, Charles E., Reuben E., Thomas Jefferson, Nancy R., Elizabeth D., Judith M., Sally and Sarah W..
