William+ was born about 1394 in Seton, East Lothian, Scotland. William+'s father was John+ Seton and his mother is Catherine+ Sinclair. His paternal grandfather was William+ Seton and his paternal grandmother is Janet+ Fleming; his maternal grandfather was John+ Saint Clare and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth+ Polwarth. He had three sisters named Christiana, Marion+ and Janet. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died on August 17th, 1424 in Battle of Verneuil, France.General Notes
