Wilhelm Zu was born about 1523. Wilhelm Zu's father was Wilhelm Zu Schwarzenberg and his mother was Katharina Von Nesselrode. His paternal grandparents were Erkinger Zu Schwarzenberg and Apollonia De La Mark; his maternal grandparents were Wilhelm Von Nesselrode and Elizabeth Von Birgell. He was an only child.
