Marie De was born about 1345. Marie De's father was Louis De Looz and her mother was Jolanda Van Oudenaarde. Her paternal grandfather was Jean II De Looz and her paternal grandmother is Marie De Nesle; her maternal grandparents were Arnoul Van Oudenaarde and Aelis De Hermalle. She was an only child.
