Wolf II Von was born on October 30th, 1532 in Glauchau. Wolf II Von's father was Ernst Von Schonburg-Glauchau and his mother was Amalie Von Leisnig. His paternal grandparents were Ernst Von Schonburg-Glauchau and Anna Von Rieneck; his maternal grandparents were Hugo Von Leisnig and Dorothea Schenk Von Landsberg. He had two brothers named Georg Von and Hugo Von. He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-brother named Bruno Von.
